2. Analytics Measurement (Google Analytics 4)

When explicitly consented to, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which technical articles are helpful, how visitors arrive (such as direct links, search engines, or AI tool referral clicks), and general reading patterns.

  • Prior Consent Required: No Google Analytics scripts or network calls run until you explicitly click “Accept Analytics”.
  • IP Anonymization: IP anonymization is enforced by default.
  • Sanitized Page Tracking: Query parameters and URL fragments (e.g. search parameters or anchors) are stripped from tracked page paths to protect privacy.
  • No Personal Identifiers: We do not log names, emails, form input text, or specific user identifiers to GA4.
  • Environment Separation: Analytics is disabled on development servers and preview deployments by default.
